Hafren Ousque Associates is a team of business advisors centred on and led by Simon Shuker.

Simon regards the high-commission, hard-selling of some business advisors as a played-out concept, and pretty likely to cost a business a large amount when set against any lasting improvement they are likely to make to the business. 

So, Hafren Ousque doesn’t do hard selling, what we sell is a productive relationship that our Clients return to time and time again…..

We are based in the heart of the country in both rural Somerset near Wedmore, and rural Wales near Aberystwyth.

Simon has a strong agricultural background and brings this understanding to his work. The company name shouts out our close links to the land and the rivers that are the heart of it.

Hafren Ousque  is part Welsh, part English – Hafren is Welsh for the River Severn, Ousque is old English for the River Usk (or in Welsh, Wysk). Ousque, Wysk and whisky all stem from the celtic root word Uisce beatha that means ‘water of life’.

Our passion is to increase your business’s effectiveness and make you perform better in all areas.

We aim to start with an overview of your business – a complete business review summarising where are you and where you want to be. With that basic understanding, we can progress onto specific areas such as coaching, reviewing your business development, costs, new market opportunities and collaborations, or look at grant applications and business succession planning.
